Tremendously proud of this creative initiative for the city of Saint John. A welcome, and much needed, addition to promote our city's heritage, and it's history. This endevour (when completed and in place on the city's newly revived and renovated waterfront) will be a visable expression of the adventurous spirit and the "soul" of the people of Saint John. I would just like to say that I was a student of Mr Barry Ogden in 1988. I was a grade 10 student in his Maritime Studies Class at Saint John High School. This was the first I had ever heard of the Marco Polo Project and to know that now 20 years later this project is much closer to completion, shows a perfect example of how drive and determination really can make dreams a reality. I can't wait to see this project completed. 20 January 2008 01:32pm - Saint John NB Webmaster Comments - 8595380021 |

It was great looking through your site. My father once told me that the Marco Polo II was built in my family's shipyard. He has a framed blueprint-type drawling in his office of the Marco Polo II. 11 January 2008 06:55pm - Florida Webmaster Comments - 1477700021 |
